Guadalupe M. Garcia, JD

Barceló, Harrison & Walker, LLP

Guadalupe M. Garcia practises intellectual property law: patent prosecution, licensing and litigation. The prosecution work sits in electrical and computer engineering, with an emphasis on communication systems, signal processing, electronics, semiconductor physics, cryptography and computer architecture. The litigation work has run across electrical, software and mechanical technology as well as the biosciences.

The practice also covers portfolio development, which is the part of the work closest to this platform: counselling clients across patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyright, and assessing portfolios running to many thousands of patents.

The engineering came first. A Juris Doctor from Stanford followed a master's in electrical engineering from Stanford and a bachelor's in electrical engineering from California State University, Northridge.
